About Sally

I've loved taking photographs since I first picked up a camera. I had many good years travelling with my old Minolta and Nikon film cameras and spent considerable time in the darkroom during my Art and Photography teaching career. I now shoot with Nikon digital cameras and I've come to appreciate what quality digital cameras and software can bring to the photographic image.

My thesis project at Western Washington was a series of black and white darkroom multiple image portraits that combined my love of portraits with a chance to explore juxtapositions of tone, texture, unique objects and places.

Every good day begins with a trip to the barn. When I'm not taking photos I spend my time with my dog and my horses, everything from trail riding to showing in the cutting and reining pen.
